Must be signed by every contestant prior to accepting payment of $ 25 for participation in the competition and the 1 liter Hofbräu Stein filled with any 1 liter of our various Hofbräu Biers on tab. .

I, ________________________________________________________________________________ (printed name of contestant), understand

 - that  Masskrugstemmen is NOT a drinking game. The competition is about holding a 1 liter Stein filled with beer on an outstretched arm in compliance with the rules set by the organizers. You must be able to hold “The Masskrug,” (a 1‐liter stein, filled with 1 liter of Hofbräu beer) with one arm (left or right) stretched out in front of the body (not sideways!), and completely parallel to the floor. If the arm holding the Masskrug is not absolutely parallel to the floor, the contestant gets a warning. The contestant will be disqualified after 2 warnings. Any spilling of beer is an automatic disqualification.

- I am aware of the risks involved in Masskrugstemmen, e.g. cramps, muscle tension, or other injuries that might occur.

- Neither Bavarian Grill, Inc. or any of it’s officers or employees, Hofbräu USA nor the German-American Steuben Parade can be held responsible for any injuries that occur in connection with the competition.

- Bavarian Grill, Inc. or any of it’s officers or employees, Hofbräu USA and the German-American Steuben Parade do not encourage drinking. Even though Masskrugstemmen involves a 1 liter Stein filled with beer, the event organizers strongly encourage all contestants and audience to drink safe and responsibly and not to drive or operate machinery when under the influence of alcohol.

- Only the winner of the final regional round on Saturday, August 13 2011, who must be present,  perform and win in this regional final event, will be eligible for the trip to the second annual US Championship final in NYC.

The undersigned, hereby agrees that he or she is participating in this activity with the knowledge that it could result in injury and the undersigned specifically absolves Bavarian Grill, Inc. or any of it’s officers or employees, the City of New York, Hofbräu USA and the German-American Steuben Parade from any and all liability resulting from my participation in this activity. This is a specific waiver of my right to sue and I fully understand that if I am injured as a result of my participation in this activity that I cannot later sue Bavarian Grill, Inc. or any of it’s officers or employees, the City of New York, Hofbräu USA or the German-American Parade or any of its volunteers and/or employees.

Photo Release: Bavarian Grill has my Permission to use my Photographs taken at the second National Masskrugstemmen Championship at the Bavarian Grill. I grant to Bavarian Grill, its representatives and employees the right to take photographs of me and my property in connection with the above-identified subject. I authorize Bavarian Grill, its assigns and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically.I agree that Bavarian Grill may use such photographs of me with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.
