The winner of the Regional North Texas Final Qualification at the Bavarian Grill on Saturday August 13, 2011 at 9:00 pm receives a regional prize: A trip to New York City to participate in the Second Annual U.S. Championship

Masskrugstemmen Final on Saturday, September 17th 2011 in Central Park immediately following the German‐

American Steuben Parade.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

To participate in Masskrugstemmen you must be 21 years of age and provide proof of age / identification. You must be able to hold “Masskrug,” (a filled, 1‐liter stein) with one arm (left or right), stretched out in front of the body (not to the side!), and completely parallel to the floor. If the arm holding the Masskrug is not absolutely parallel to the floor, the contestant gets a warning. The contestant will be disqualified after 2 warnings. The winner of the Regional Final Qualification at the Bavarian Grill  on Saturday, August 13, 2011 will compete in the Second Annual U.S. Championship Masskrugstemmen Final on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in New York (at approximately 4 pm) for the title of “U.S. Champion of Masskrugstemmen.” The German‐American Steuben Parade Committee will organize and hold the finals of the U.S. Championship in Masskrugstemmen. The regional winner must be available for media interviews before and after the finals. The regional winner must also complete an IRS Form W‐9 (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification) in order to claim the Regional Prize and the U.S. Championship Grand Prize.

Must be signed by every contestant prior to accepting payment of $ 25 for participation in the competition and the 1 liter Hofbräu Stein filled with any 1 liter of our various Hofbräu Biers on tab. .

- that  Masskrugstemmen is NOT a drinking game. The competition is about holding a 1 liter Stein filled with beer on an outstretched arm in compliance with the rules set by the organizers.

- I am aware of the risks involved in Masskrugstemmen, e.g. cramps, muscle tension, or other injuries that might occur.

- Neither Bavarian Grill, Inc. or any of it’s officers or employees, Hofbräu USA nor the German-American Steuben Parade can be held responsible for any injuries that occur in connection with the competition.

- Bavarian Grill, Inc. or any of it’s officers or employees, Hofbräu USA and the German-American Steuben Parade do not encourage drinking. Even though Masskrugstemmen involves a 1 liter Stein filled with beer, the event organizers strongly encourage all contestants and audience to drink safe and responsibly and not to drive or operate machinery when under the influence of alcohol.

- Only the winner of the final regional round on Saturday, August 14 2010, who must be present,  perform and win in this regional final event, will be eligible for the trip to the second annual US Championship final in NYC.

The undersigned, hereby agrees that he or she is participating in this activity with the knowledge that it could result in injury and the undersigned specifically absolves Bavarian Grill, Inc. or any of it’s officers or employees, the City of New York, Hofbräu USA and the German-American Steuben Parade from any and all liability resulting from my participation in this activity. This is a specific waiver of my right to sue and I fully understand that if I am injured as a result of my participation in this activity that I cannot later sue Bavarian Grill, Inc. or any of it’s officers or employees, the City of New York, Hofbräu USA or the German-American Parade or any of its volunteers and/or employees.
