What our Guests have to say about Us:

Just a note to thank you and your staff for a truly outstanding meal.
my wife and i always enjoy visiting your " Gasthaus".
George Bicknell

Thanks for many years of great memories at Bavarian Grill.  My son and I were at BG last week and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.  I didn't even bother to try to add to my third stein club card.  We just enjoy the atmosphere.  Thanks for taking care of us for the past 9 years.  Tom and Allison, Preston (5), and Cole (1)

P.S.  Bavarian Grill was the first restaurant Preston ever visited.  We could not think of a better experience for him, or Allie and myself.

Hello. My name is Randall McCoskey. Both my wife and myself ate dinner at your restaurant on 5/27. I have been stationed in Germany back in 1985-1988 so I got to enjoy the food and beer. My wife, never has tried any German food, so this was new to her. I havent eaten any German food since 1995, so this was a treat for me. We both loved the good food, good beer, very friendly atmosphere and GREAT attention that the employees gave us.

THANKS...Randy

Hi there

I wanted to send you a short note to say "Thank You" for your hospitality on January 26th.  The team had a wonderful time and I understand this was the largest turnout our team has ever had.  Sadly, I did not get to attend but there's always next time :-)

The team is still raving about the food selection, service and welcoming atmosphere at Bavarian Grill.

I appreciate your help on making this a memorable event.

Regards,
Glenda

To all the staff @ Bavarian Grill,
Just wanted to drop a line and let you know how much we enjoyed our dinner on the evening of the 10th of March. We were staying in Dallas to catch an early flight to Puerto Rico for a cruise vacation. I love German food and beer (not necessarily in that order!). My wife's tastes are a little more subdued, but even she thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I love all types of food. Of all the foods I enjoy, I love German food the best even over Italian food! To the point - I don't believe that I have ever had better! I would eat at your establishment even if you lost your liquor license (Don't be foolish however and let that happen). Matter of fact, we live in Tyler only a scant hour and 45 minutes away. We will definitely be back soon (sooner I hope!). I've got to work on my stein card! We even enjoyed the gentleman performing the live music - just tell him to slow Edelweiss down some. Only one area of disappointment - I probably would have bought a stein, but there were just not enough to choose from. So.... you probably saved me some money. I should probably look at that as another plus! auf Wiedersehen!
Sincerely,
Matt and Lara Smith

I just wanted to write you a quick note...  My boss took our team out to lunch at your restaurant today, and I ordered the stuffed chicken with white asparagus and cheese on the lunch menu.  I just wanted to let you know that was SO delicious ... I can't even describe it.  My taste buds have been demanding a return visit tonight!  It was just a perfect blend.  Kudos to the chef.  I will probably have to come back this weekend for a repeat performance.

Thank you! Julie

"Juergen, thank you for a terrific event.  I highly recommend the Bavarian Grill for group functions.  The restaurant provides full technical support for high tech meetings with wireless Internet and projector.  The room is private.  Food and service were both excellent.  I appreciated your flexibility and personal attention.
I look forward to scheduling more events."

My name is Mark, and I had the pleasant experience to dine, along with two of my best friends, at your restaurant Saturday evening (1 October).  This was probably my 10th visit to your restaurant.  Each visit has been wonderful, from the food, to the wine, to the music, and the service.  Last evening’s experience was still the best.  My friends and I were not aware, before we arrived, that you were celebrating Schnitzel Fest.  Wow!
As has always been the case, we were greeted and seated quickly.  The most difficult part of the entire evening was making the decision “which one schnitzel will I eat?”  I had a lot of trouble deciding, so I asked our water, Robert Richards, what he might recommend.  Robert suggested the Baden Baden Schnitzel.  To accompany the entrée, he suggested I try the Dornfelder Pinot Noir wine.  It was a perfect pairing, especially with the Emmentaler cheese on the schnitzel.  With the rotkraut and creamed spinach, it was a most excellent meal.  My companions both chose the Jagerschnitzel and enjoyed their meals, as well.

The food was excellent.  The atmosphere was excellent.  The service was knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and accurate.  I must compliment Robert for the attentive and friendly service he provided; it really enhanced the evening.
Thank you for consistently providing a first-rate dining experience.  I hope to visit Bavarian Grill again very soon, and to introduce my sister and brother-in-law to your restaurant.

Sincerely,

Mark

Just wanted to write a thank you to you and all of the folks that made our office party so much fun.  Already having requests to do it there again next year.  Told them I didn't know if you all could take us two years in a row.  Certainly hope you were able to see just how much fun all of our employees had.  Ludwig Koubus was awesome and reminded me so very much of my dad.  My dad was full blooded German, and one of those folks that NEVER met a stranger.  He had the same outgoing personality that Lou has. Loved joking with everybody and always was fun to be around.

The food was absolutely delicious all the way around.  We could not have asked for a better party.  To you we are very grateful for everything.

Hope you and your family have a safe and Happy New Year.

We tried to come eat Saturday, but you all were closed for the holiday.  Certainly glad you got to do that.  We are planning to come though very soon.  Several of our employees didn't know you all were there, but now want to take their families there to eat, so you may be seeing some familiar faces in the crowd.  If they start dancing on the table tops, they aren't ours!!!!!   Well, they may be!!!!!

Thanks again, and Happy New Year.

To the manager of Bavarian Grill and waitress Lea:

I want to take a moment to thank you for a great dining experience at your restaurant on Saturday, Nov. 27.

I've been to your restaurant a half dozen times or so, and each time it has been a great experience.  The food, the service, the music, the atmosphere is all great.

But our experience on Saturday went above all that, and I wanted to thank you.

Lea was our waitress.  She did a FANTASTIC job, very professional and patient with our table.  We had three families and a total of 13 people.  She always came to the table with a smile, she filled our drinks up more often than I could count, and she came to our table on three different occassions to keep us updated on the status of our meal, which definitely eased many anxious and hungry people.  Also, we had a birthday at the table, and she played the cowbells right on tune.  And in the end, she divided off the bill with ease.

Lea was simply awesome, and you should give her a raise for being a positive part of the dining experience.

I also noticed how the rest of the staff, from waitresses to cleaning staff, and they looked like they were having a fun, relaxing night as well.  If anyone was "in the weeds," as they use when they are very busy, then it never showed in the quality of the service.

The two-man band playing the music was very entertaining.  I'd seen them on previous visits, so I sang along, drank and laughed.

Overall, the whole dining night was excellent.

Way too often, people will complain about service, so I wanted to take the time to give you some positive feedback.

I look forward to coming again and having Lea wait on our table.  She is a wonderful lady, and very lovely too.

Thanks again, and I salute the greatness of your restaurant.

Sincerely,

Chuck

To all,

This is just a note to say thank you for providing such a wonderful atmosphere and food for my parents 50th wedding anniversary on this past Saturday evening. Everyone was overwhelmed with your service and hospitality - and especially the food. The evening brought back special memories for everyone of the times they have spent living in Germany.

Thank you again,

We will be back for more.

We had the pleasure of dining at the Bavarian Grill on Tuesday night, July 30, 2002 with our son and his family who live in Plano and had enjoyed your food and service several times before that. They were in Germany four years...first in Stuttgart and then in Ansbach...and they loved Germany and the German food. We visited them three times and ate out most all of the time, as we all loved the food so much. We have tried several German restaurants in several cities in the U.S. to try to find food like we enjoyed so much over there....in Milwaukee, WI, Colorado Springs, CO, and Georgetown, TX, and yours is the very best of all. I love the Wienerschnitzel and spaetzle most of all, and yours was the very first that was as good as I had in Germany and the portion was much larger. We all enoyed different entrees, appetizers, and two of your luscious desserts, and couldn't have been more pleased. You can be sure we will be back (we live in Hurst on the Fort Worth side of the Metroplex) at the first opportunity, and I am sure my son and his family will bring their friends and other relatives there even more often than we can make it in. Brigette made us feel right at home from the very first moment we were there. Thank you for being there and keep up the good quality as we will be back, and recommend you to our friends on this side of the metroplex.

Sincerely,
Sula Bullington

Good morning Mrs. Bullington:

Thank you very much for taking the time to send us your very positive comments. I will take great pleasure to share your letter with our team this afternoon in our service meeting. I am particularly happy to receive your feed back as I took my family to Germany and just returned yesterday. It is always extra enjoyable to know that the team does well for our guests.

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, we love to see you and your family again soon. Would you be so kind and give me your permission to publish your letter on our webpage?

Have a wunderful weekend!

Juergen

Thank you for your response to my letter after we had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant last week. I meant every word I said but am not very good at condensing my thoughts into a few words. However, if you would like to publish it on your webpage, please feel free to do so. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the music, both the recorded and the live music as well. We will be recommending you to everyone we know who might want to drive to Plano for the best German food and great service we have found, and will be returning as often as time and money permit to eat there again ourselves. Continued success to you and we are so happy to enjoy the great food we found in Germany right here close to home, as I am not sure I will ever be well enough to take a long flight there again. We would all love to visit again, as we all loved Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The Black Forest area and Bavarian area (I know my son and daughter-in-law who lived there for four years know the difference in these two regions or if they are combined, but I can't remember except for the neat thatched roof on the front of the houses in the Black Forest area and the wood carvings and distinctive architecture of the homes in the Bavarian region). We were all impressed by the cleanliness, strong work etchic, and friendliness of the people there as well as the great food.

Sincerely,
Sula Bullington

I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful evening my son, his wife, and myself had at the bavarian grill. Ever since last winter when we were there the first time I knew I wanted to go back. My son, Ben, and his wife, Kim, went to college at Madison, Wisconsin. There, he picked up a taste for variety in beer. He was very interested in going to your restaurant, having heard about it from some friends. His enthusiasm sold me immediately. Brigetta made the four of us feel at home right away( my wife, Linda, was with us). She recommended the Kostritzer Schwarzbier (delicious) and her reading of the menu in German made the prime rib ( tafelspitz?) absolutely scrumptious. This year we had the pleasure of Kim for our server. Much to my delight she had a voice and mannerisms that reminded me of my sister-in-law, Kim. She pretty much challanged me to eat the poached salmon( it's very rich), the bread pudding( it's very filling), and sample two or three biers( Ayinger Celebrator, Diebel Alt, Spaten Optimator). I enjoy eating great food and drinking great bier and dinner that evening was an experience I won't soon forget. By the way, I ate every last morsel. Kim said she wouldn't have guessed I would, I'm kind of small. I'm sending some pictures. Thank you again for such a wonderful time. I'm already looking forward to seeing you all the next time I'm in Dallas.

Good afternoon Tim:

Thank you very much for your nice letter! I love to share it with the service team tomorrow in the meeting. They deserve the praise. Would you allow me to publish your letter on our webpage as a guest feed back example? Thank you again for your kind words and pictures, we love to welcome you back the very next time you come to Plano. Have a great weekend.

Juergen and the Bavarian Grill Team

Good evening Juergen and Bavarian Grill Team, I am delighted to hear that you have meetings. It fits in with the whole atmosphere you present to your customers, you know your stuff. As a plumber I admire and enjoy interacting with professional people. Confidence in your own abilities and those on the team can make for such an extraordinary product be it a brand new bathroom or an incredible dining experience. Yes you may use my letter. I have selfish hope that it will bring more people to the Bavarian Grill which will make it more successful and that in turn will give the employees greater satisfaction with the end result that I can keep coming back for more .... stuff! See you soon,

Tim McPhee.

My husband and I got to eat for the first time in your fine establishment last Wednesday evening with our dear friends, Inga, Gina, and Fred of www.GermanDeli.com. What a wonderful experience! We lived in Germany for over twelve years and your entertainment, food, staff and atmosphere brought so many wonderful memories to mind! We were extremely surprised to see the very same Monika Keller-Cole lithographs of Rothenburg hanging in your restaurant as we have in our home, in addition to a stammtisch teller like every local restaurant in Stuttgart had...how I wish I could locate a stammtisch teller for our home! Anyway, thank you very much for a lovely evening and be assured that we will return and send friends and family your way.

Thank you very much for a wonderful dining experience!

Juergen, I'm a little tardy with this, but I wanted to tell you again how much I enjoyed the dinner Wednesday night. The food, the service, the hospitality were all great. I really felt honored to be included.

After it was over I was thinking about the summer night some six years ago when I first came into the Bavarian Grill. I immediately felt like I would enjoy it, but I no idea what a special place it would become for me and how many good friends -- including you -- I would meet.

Thanks again, and we'll see you in a few days.

To the ownership, management, and staff

My friends and I recently had lunch at the Bavarian Grill, on the 13th of September. When we first came in to the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly and courteous gentleman. We were then led to our table by young women who always had a smile on her face, and a kind word to say weather it was to us, or to the couple with a child beside us. The waitress was very patient with us, as tried to decide what we wanted. The food came and I was very pleased, the meat loaf was so tender and flavorful, and the potatoes was awesome. All I can say is that we will come back to visit and enjoy your wonderful food of Germany. Please let every one there how much we enjoyed dining there, and our compliments the chef.

Sincerely,
