Your executive officers have a few items to report:

1 – Suckling Pig Dinner was Fantastic

Juergen and Werner out did themselves on the Suckling Pig. Werner basted the critter with Oktoberfest Bier and that rich caramel color was transferred to the beast was very tasty – yes, even the ears. And, Rick’s, almost comedic, presentation on Oktoberfest biers was enjoyed by all. If you were not there you missed a fun evening.

2 – September 20th – Oktoberfest at the Bavarian Grill
This is a great time. The Big Band is setup and a Keg tapping demonstration at 3:30pm

3 – September 27th – Downtown McKinney Oktoberfest
The Bavarian Grill has partnered with the City of McKinney ‘s inaugural Oktoberfest. The Franconia Brewery is donating a 200 year old wooden keg filled with their latest Oktoberfest bier for Dennis and the Mayor of McKinney to have another Keg tapping demonstration. All present may participate.

4 – October 8th – Stein Club Meeting
This will be a regular fun meeting and it is also our traditional kick-off for the Thanksgiving food drive. We are now accepting non-perishable food items to be delivered no later than November 15. If you forget and would still like to help someone out, don’t worry. We’ll take cash donations and purchase food items for you.

5 – November 12th - Share an Eisbein is Back
Couples can now share an Eisbein at the Stein Club dinner. That’s right! Buy the first one and the second one is half price, includes everything except the ham hock.

You share the ham hock. If you recall the Eisbein is a giant cured, slow cooked ham hock served with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and pea puree, accompanied by two half-liters of a fine malted beverage.
